WSHU Presents / The Letter Box: "The Cuban Missile Crisis"

  • LONG WHARF THEATRE 222 Sargent Drive New Haven, CT, 06511 United States (map)
THE LETTER BOX, an original storytelling program based on actual thematic letters and personal correspondence. Directed and hosted by two-time Tony Award winner James Naughton, The Cuban Missile Crisis offered a mesmerizing presentation of one of the twentieth century’s most critical turning points. A talented cast of actors brought to life the intense communications that were exchanged between U.S. President John F. Kennedy, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev, and Cuban Prime Minister Fidel Castro, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance.
THE LETTER BOX is a pilot project of WSHU. History, told in the words of those who lived it, is its inspiration.
