The History of Pie in New England: Preferences + Prejudices Examined

  • New Haven Museum 114 Whitney Avenue New Haven, CT, 06510 (map)

What could possibly motivate a person to create a “mock” apple pie, using crackers instead of apples? This, and other burning questions relating to one of America’s most beloved baked goods, the pie, will be answered during an enlightening presentation, “New England Pie: History Under a Crust,” followed by a book signing.

Armed with mouthwatering images and details, writer, historian and academician Robert Cox will tackle the tasty topic just in time for the holidays, when pie reigns supreme on the American table.
