  • Lyric Hall 827 Whalley Ave, New Haven, Connecticut 06515 (map)

HOWL is excited to announce our world premiere production, ARABY. Our newest collaborative theatre work, ARABY continues to explore of the connection between music, language, and theatre. This time James Joyce's short story ARABY is front and center - a compelling and universal tale about first love and the loss of innocence.

We have commissioned 2 engaging composers, Tonia Ko and Matthew Schickele, to compose works inspired by the Joyce, and are quite moved and so happy with what they have created. The production also features music by Kaija Saariaho and Amy Beth Kirsten

ARABY cast:
Boy - Hai-Ting Chinnn, mezzo-soprano
Girl - Ashley Bathgate, cello

and is co-directed by Mary Ellen Stebbins and Amy Beth Kirsten.

Admission to our New Haven performance at Lyric Hall (827 Whalley Ave) is FREE.

Please join us after the show for food and drink in the lobby.
