  • The Institute Library 847 Chapel Street New Haven, CT, 06510 United States (map)

Join us as Best Video Film & Cultural Center and The Institute Library collaborate to bring you two memorable movie screening and discussion events:

Sunday, April 3, 2016, 2:00 p.m.
Screening of "The Way"
featuring post-screening Q&A with Jack Hitt, author of Off the Road: A Modern-Day Walk Down the Pilgrim's Route into Spain

Did you know that The Way is based on Jack Hitt's book, Off the Road: A Modern-Day Walk Down the Pilgrim's Route into Spain, and his real-life experience traversing El Camino de Santiago--not once, but twice? The Way stars Martin Sheen as Tom, a bereaved and irascible father whose son has died in an accident while making a pilgrimage along "The Way of St. James" from France to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Rather than just return home after retrieving his son's body, Tom decides to complete the pilgrimage himself to honor—and mourn—his son. Join us for a showing of the film, and a discussion afterwards with Jack.

Advance tickets: $15 each event
At the door tickets: $20 for each event
