Manic Productions and Asbestos Records Present:
Joe Michelini (of River City Extension)
Joe Michelini began performing under the name River City Extension as a teenager, while writing and playing coffee houses. What began as a solo project soon developed into an 8 piece band that went on to tour internationally and release 2 full length albums. Joe has been touring heavily over the past few years, playing small clubs, and major festivals. River City Extension is the only band to have played Newport Folk Festival and Warped Tour in the same year. They've also had the pleasure of playing Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Vancouver Folk Festival and Australian Festivals- Harvest and Soundwave. Joe's songwriting is timeless and offers a complexity that only comes with time and experience. Joe has earned the respect of one of his favorite songwriters, Glenn Tilbrook, who went on to lend backing vocals on an alternate version of River City Extension's track, "Letter to Lainie". Joe is in the process of writing River City Extension's 3rd studio album.
Wise Old Moon
Since forming in 2013, Hartford, CT’s favorite roots rock band Wise Old Moon has been on a wild ride that has taken them from Vermont to California and in between. Along the way they have been nominated for 5 CT Music Awards, had write-ups from No Depression, Redline Roots, The Deli Magazine, and have shared the stage with the likes of Johnathan Edwards, Dustbowl Revival, Woody Pines, and Charlie Parr.
Following their sophomore release 'Don't Take Off' in late 2015, Wise Old Moon has been steadily touring, bringing their distinct brand of Americana to listening rooms and clubs around the Northeast, with plans to bring their engaging live shows further South in the Summer of 2016.
Johnny Mainstream is a four-piece Indie Rock act out of Manchester, CT. Born in the Marist College dormitories of songwriter Matthew Maynes and bassist Dan Garaffa, Johnny Mainstream began writing honest folk songs inspired by Bob Dylan, Bright Eyes, and Kevin Devine, but infused with the punk rock ideals on which each was raised.
After graduation in 2007, Maynes and Garaffa returned to CT with the Johnny Mainstream brand intact. Through continual exposure at local venues like the Main Pub and Grady Tavern in Manchester CT, Johnny Mainstream began to amass a small following from fans, as well as the attention of other local musicians. Fans-turned-members, Brendan Donnelly and local mainstay and “Flu” alum Michael James Anderson now round out the group on drums and lead guitar respectively.
The band has toured behind their first two albums "Shipwrecked!" and "Ghost Broadway" and will release a new EP, "Break The Kettles and Sink The Ship" on June 23rd, 2015."
