“All the world’s a stage
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts….”
April 23, 2016 marks 400 years since Shakespeare’s death.
In the culmination of a series of events honoring the Bard in 2015-16, the Theater Program presents his celebrated pastoral romance first performed ca. 1599. Follow Rosalind, one of Shakespeare’s greatest heroines, as she flees court disguised as a man for the fantastical forest of Arden. There she (and just about everyone else) falls in love.
