Jamie Kilstein is a spoken word, political indie punk renegade. He’s been featured in Timeout Chicago, Sydney, New York and London as a Critics Pick. He’s played everywhere from the concert hall of the Sydney Opera House to the dive bar down the street where you probably used to live, and his first book #Newsfail was released from Simon and Schuster. Before the dream began to take
shape, Jamie could be found living out of his car, having dropped out of high school and now has shared the stage with Bad Religion, and Talib Kweli, among others.
Jamie has put his rants and thoughts, his social commentary to songs and music in what can only be described as liberal punk waging war against homophobes, sexists, and bigots with music that makes you want to change the world. His musical style is not only revolutionary but his band is energetic with songs that mean something and have been gaining a lot of press and fans.
Compared to Henry Rollins, Jello Biafra Bill Hicks and Joe Strummer, Jamie has been seen on Conan, is a regular on MSNBC, as been featured on FX, Showtime, CNN and many shows around the world.
