NHSO: Young Composers Project Spring Concert

  • Sudler Recital Hall 100 Wall Street New Haven, CT, 06511 United States (map)

The Young Composers Program is an exciting and rare opportunity for selected high school students to study side-by-side with professional composers. A two-year program focusing on theory and composition grants these students access to NHSO musicians and one of America’s foremost composers. Students will participate in group and individual lessons, compose new works, and have their pieces premiered by NHSO musicians.

This concert is the culmination of the student’s year of study with NHSO composer-in-residence Hannah Lash. Their music will be premiered by NHSO musicians Stephan Tieszen, Alan Ohkubo, and William Braun.
