While this Meetup group is getting established, RSVP numbers are likely to be low, but event attendance has been strong, with 10 or more participants at most events.
Meet at 10:00 a.m. to carpool at 10:15 a.m. to the hike start from Black Rock School, 57 Branch Rd. (Rt. 109), Thomaston, for this 8 mile moderately-fast paced loop walk. We will walk along quiet dirt lanes and paved country roads with reservoir views to view the daffodils at the Laurel Ridge Narcissus Plantings on Wigwam Lane in Litchfield. If you choose to bring a dog, be aware that even leashed dogs are not permitted on the daffodil property, so pet owners will have to admire the plantings from the road. Hiking boots are not required. The last mile is along Rt. 109, which mostly has a wide shoulder, but does have some narrow sections. Rain cancels.
